Newt Gingrich’s plan for America HOO RAH

September 29, 2011

Speaker Gingrich has been a relentless critic of President Obama’s unconstitutional healthcare scheme and has repeatedly called for the repeal of ObamaCare. Make no mistake, repealing ObamaCare is the single most important task the next President faces, and that’s why we’re holding Congress’s feet to the fire now! We’ve already sent over 92,000 letters to Congress demanding they overturn this unconstitutional law, and we need to turn up the heat! Please take a moment out of your day to use our state-of-the-art petition system and contact your elected representatives. Tell them to stop dragging their feet and repeal ObamaCare now! *A donation is not required to use our petition system. Unlike the federal government or Obama’s union allies, we rely on VOLUNTARY donations to provide this service to patriots all across the country.

Thank you,

Obama says Millionaires should pay their FAIR SHARE

September 20, 2011

Why does BO not tell “we the people” the facts and post the actual dollar amount of Taxes paid by the Millionaires & Billionaires. There is not enough room on this post for all the zeros; so you will have to do the math. Very easy to find the amounts with a search. “Who Pays the most US Taxes”. Buffet says “he pays less taxes than his secretary.” OK Mr. Buffet why don’t you give your empoyees a much needed RAISE? #game over!

According to the Office of Tax Analysis, the U.S. individual income tax is “highly progressive,” with a small group of higher-income taxpayers paying most of the individual income taxes each year.

•In 2002 the latest year of available data, the top 5 percent of taxpayers paid more than one-half (53.8 percent) of all individual income taxes, but reported roughly one-third (30.6 percent) of income.

Will Obama create any real Jobs?

September 5, 2011

This morning I found a killer website http://www.halttheassualt.com. Each of the points clearly points out the same old song, “HEADS THEY WIN, TAILS WE LOSE.” Seems a tad strange to me that Obama’s first move is to address the AFL-CIO Union RALLY before he makes his speech, to create jobs, to 14+ million unemployed and 46% of Americans on food stamps.

President Barack Obama is previewing his ideas for job creation and economic growth at a Labor Day rally with union members in Detroit.

U.S. Debt: 100 Percent Wrong

August 4, 2011

Ugg: “US debt shot up $238 billion to reach 100 percent of gross domestic project after the government’s debt ceiling was lifted, Treasury figures showed Wednesday.”
Union-only project labor agreements (PLAs) are agreements by which construction owners/developers require successful bidders to sign collective bargaining agreements with labor unions as a condition of being allowed to perform work on a project. Such PLAs are “union-only” in the sense that, regardless of whether their employees have previously performed work on a unionized basis, contractors cannot perform work on the project without first signing a union agreement covering that project.

Federal Government-Mandated Project Labor Agreements: President Obama’s Executive Order 13502 Encourages PLAs on Federal Construction Projects Costing More Than $25 million

Free and open competition saved American taxpayers an estimated 10 percent to 20 percent on federal construction spending and provided women, minorities and other qualified craft professionals the opportunity to work in their communities.

Typical PLAs are pre-hire contracts that require projects be awarded only to contractors and subcontractors that agree to:

•recognize unions as the representatives of their employees on that job
•use the union hiring hall to obtain workers
•obtain apprentices exclusively from union apprenticeship programs
•pay into underfunded and mismanaged union benefit plans
•obey costly, restrictive and inefficient union work rules

In the end, government-mandated PLAs prevent taxpayers from getting the best possible product at the best possible price. (heads they win, tails we lose)

Government-Mandated Project Labor Agreements: The Public Record of Poor Performance (2011 Edition)

The 2011 edition of ABC General Counsel Maury Baskin’s report on government-mandated PLAs documents a record of PLA construction projects experiencing an unfortunate pattern of cost overruns, reduced competition, delays in construction, construction defects, safety problems and diversity issues. It is a key resource to find failed government-mandated PLA projects in your community, illustrating why anti-competitive and costly government-mandated PLAs are nothing more than a bad solution in search of a problem.

The Nationals Park PLA created a huge barrier for the District’s nonunion workforce: 85 percent of construction workers and 95 percent of minority-owned contractors were left out of work.”

The study found that had President Obama’s pro-PLA Executive Order 13502 applied to federal contracts in 2008, additional costs incurred by employers related to wasteful PLA pension requirements would likely have ranged from $230 to $767 million per year. Lost wages for nonunion construction workers would have ranged from $184 million to more than $613 million, depending on the assumptions made for companies executing contracts via PLAs. In total, the move to PLAs could cost nonunion workers and their employers $414 million to more than $1.38 billion annually.

To Halt The Assault on small business, we must demand our elected leaders:
•Cut “capital gains” taxes, which would increase domestic business hiring and investment
•Permanently repeal the Death Tax, which is paid by family-owned business and fams upon the death of the owner (repealing the death tax would make it easier for small business and family farmers to be passed onto the next generation)

According to the most recent data from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 14.5 percent of the 2009 U.S. private construction workforce belongs to a union. This means union-only PLAs would discriminate against more than eight out of 10 construction workers who would otherwise work on construction projects if not for a union-only PLA

Democrats furiously oppose Walker because public employees unions are transmission belts, conveying money to the Democratic Party. Last year, $11.2 million in union dues was withheld from paychecks of Wisconsin’s executive branch employees and $2.6 million from paychecks at the university across the lake. Having spent improvidently on the recall elections, the Wisconsin Education Association Council, the teachers union, is firing 40 percent of its staff. (yeah, how about the bridge to no where in Alaska?)
