Break the two party stranglehold

January 30, 2010

The key to this mess, we are in, is not allowing any party to gain a majority in the Senate or the House. Think about the endless bickering and blame games that control the votes for stupid spending. Why not level the playing field? It’s very easy and will make a huge impact on any elected politician; State or Federal. Just register as a Nonpartisan (neutral) voter. Are you tired of being ignored? Why not “sock it to them?” The biggest fears they have are: 1. fear of not being re-elected 2. term limits and 3. loss of power. You can still request a ballot from any party you choose prior to the primaries. We need to break the two party stranglehold. We need new faces and voices with fresh innovative ideas to stop secret meetings on 2000 page unread bills.

A United States Senator, running for President, said that. Excuse me, but the Constitution is clear, and the Federalist Papers (to say nothing of Madison’s journal) make it clear that it was the Framer’s intend that Congress, and only Congress, be able to create taxes, or declare war. I won’t even begin to list the burgeoning list of Federal Crimes created under the Executive branch—just where is Congress with the passing of all that law? Where is the protection of the American People from these un-elected people writing laws that cost us money, make us criminals? What happened? A review of history for the last two decades will demonstrate to anyone who looks closely that Congress, under either party, has been growing the powers of the Presidency, and we, the Voters, have been buying the propaganda. It is time to stop drinking the koolaid! And it’s high time to vote out the professional politicians who no longer even pretend to represent their constituencies—or Harry Reid would’ve abandoned his attempts to pass legislation which will not help anyone’s health, and is not supported by a majority of the People of the United States. We need to stop buying into the nonsense that any of the proposed ‘freedoms’ that the President and his party hold out are for anyone’s benefit but those who would be a new ruling class. ‘Freedom from poverty’ and ‘Freedom from hunger’ and any of those ‘freedoms’ they tout are shackles. And we need to keep our focus and stop burning energy on those battles which do not help us, and fight to turn out all those who support legislation meant to enslave us to a bloated federal government.
